  • 2 Tbsp toasted slivered almonds

Instructions

1. Make the Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture looks coarse and crumbly.

  3. Brush 2 tablespoons of the warm mixture over the cooled crust.
  4. Arrange the apricot halves neatly on top of the crust (cut side down for a smooth, polished look).
  5. Brush the remaining warm preserve mixture generously over the apricots.

3. Bake the Tart

  1. Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the apricots look glazed.
  2. Cool on a wire rack.
  3. Sprinkle toasted slivered almonds on top.
  4. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
